i love my beautiful beautiful life. well, sort of.

a while ago there was a snow day! me and six of my (new) friends got together to go sledding and go to the mall. one of them ended up getting soaked so we ended up walking to my house which was close and throwing all his stuff in the spin cycle. it was a fun sidequest and we went down to the mall close to my house to get dinner. i got a&w because now i have to buy canadian because of tariffs. we are all abysmally cooked but especially me because i have a chemistry quiz tomorrow and i do not understand any of the material. neither does anyone in my class, though, so we're all in it together.

I HATE US POLITICS!!!!!! it's all over for everyone. we are headed into doom and hell and despair. i'm moving to iceland.

it's been a while since my last entry. i've been swamped with work and school and schoolwork. i've also picked up reading again, which feels like it's been making me smarter. the book i'm reading is called 'on freedom' and i think it's especially interesting considering the current political climate.

might write again soon, might not. pretty swamped.

two days until school starts again. :(

i trimmed my hair a bit today to try and make it look shaggier, and i'll know whether or not it worked out once i wake up tomorrow because that's when my hair looks the way it will the whole day (it's like 2b 2c so i don't really style it)

a while back my friends and i were taking a walk and i found this broken electronic i couldn't identify, and i noticed that one piece had a display board inside it so i took it with me. just today i finally figured out how to take it apart (tweezers and five minutes of thinking) and now i have an exposed display board which is so cool. there's also a sticker on it stating the model number/name and the date it came out (2014) and after googling it this display board is apparently part of a sony audio recording device from the collection R300 which is the coolest thing. a bunch of people are reselling the electronics from this collection on ebay for pretty fair prices!

hopefully i can track down some more cool stuff on the side of the road :P

the trip home was nothing if not hectic. our first flight was fine, and yet again we had an empty seat between us, which was great, but our second flight was delayed until one thirty in the morning. it was supposed to take off at eleven thirty! we got home at around four am and as soon as we got the kittens settled for the night i passed out.

the kittens are adjusting well enough, and we have them shut in a separate room so that our current cats can get used to them. one of our cats, tikken, has slept with me these last couple of nights and it's been great considering that usually doesn't happen and both the cats sleep with my mom.

i created a list of ways to feel a little more prepared for the next two semesters of school, and i think i might be okay because i'm getting a math tutor. i really need to get ahead on my schoolwork, especially considering i want to go into computer science/engineering and that's a super mathematical and academically charged field. i love it, though, at least when i know what's going on.

it's a bit rough missing even a week of school at this point, because now there's so much done in every class that when you come back you feel super far behind. it's especially an issue for someone who has terrible executive functioning issues and physically cannot get any work done unless they are at school or in a place with similar vibes (libraries), aka me. >_>

still got a week left of break, though! well, just about it. i have two sleepovers before school starts up again and i'm hoping to go into town a couple of times before then. i've never really gotten many chances to go into the artsy/alternative eastern area of my city just to walk around and hang out at all the cool stores so i'd love to do that.

okay in my last entry i MENTIONED that i was in mexico but i didn't really specify what it was we've done so far so i'm doing that here

soo there's this really neat popsicle place in town with like 70 different flavours... i only got to get watermelon twice and strawberry once just because we didn't really have time to go as much as i would've wanted which was a bit sad cause they were SO good like SOOOO good... at least i got to try it though!!

we've gone to a whole bunch of different restaurants with some awesome food and i was able to get my favourite mexican dish at one of them, chile rellenos with cheese :3 it's SO good and you can't find it anywhere in canada which sucks because of how awesome it was

yesterday for christmas eve we went to this really fancy not-a-restaurant where they didn't even give you a menu they just surprised you with a four course meal? it was neat and my mom tried to teach me fancy etiquette but i don't think either of us would want to go again just because of how it was done. she didn't really want to go there anyways but my uncle convinced her in the end. they had this really weird pumpkin soup i didn't finish because it was too odd tasting for me, so my mom ate it instead.

there are these neat birds on the beach called sandpipers who have little egg bodies and long skinny beaks and legs. they might be my new favourite creature just because they look so funny *_*

we fostered four cats but me and my mom ended up adopting almost all of them LOL... their names are comet, chicken pizza (who my mom wants to rename vixen), layla (who i want to name lady) and rio, who my aunt and uncle are probably going to keep. they were here for the first week of vacation but left before the second week, so they took rio with them.

i'm sort of dreading the first half four hour airplane ride home because i'm 5'9" and my legs get super crushed. the only way i lived on the way here was because me and my mom had an empty seat between us. also yeah we take two separate plane trips to get here and back because most planes don't go here, the first being four hours and the second being one and a half which is way more tolerable. i'm thinking i'll download all of arcane seaosn 2 to distract me from the leg cramping

i've been listening to a LOT of new music while i'm here, got really into goreshit. my favorite musician is femtanyl but i also really like rory in early 20s, machine girl and goreshit now, along with like an ep and a half of zombAe songs.

okay i think i'm going to go rewatch an ashswag vod now #cringebutfree
